It’s a demonstrable fact that most organisations won’t be able to hire senior operations leadership until after their first significant funding round. This means that the businesses that most need operational expertise find it hardest to access it.
Atani was founded to help SMBs organise themselves for the next stage of their journey. The methods we use are the result of managing strategic operations in high-growth, scaling businesses for more than a decade. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t.
Focus matters. Alignment matters. Efficiency matters.
It’s true that businesses can trundle along taking opportunities as they arise. The outcome will be a lifestyle business - which is fine. However, if you want to do better, go further, realise something bigger - then we need to talk.

About Pete
His early roles were in hospitality operations, working as venue manager and later as a business consultant. In 2005 he transitioned to restaurant tech and joined Livebookings / Bookatable in 2008. As part of the team that brought Bookatable to market and scaled it to be Europe’s largest dining out marketplace he managed commercial and later strategic operations.
In 2015, he authored strategic plans and financial models in support of the sale to Michelin. Over the following four years he executed the strategy he described before control of the business passed to TripAdvisor in 2020.
Between 2020 and 2026 Pete has supported exits at ReceiptBank / Dext (Hg Capital) and Texthelp / Everway (Five Arrows). Also in this period, Pete occupied senior roles at Mr Yum / Me&u and Opsyte / Hospitality Solutions Group as well as a number of consulting engagements.
Atani Operating Partners was founded in the spring of 2026.
